J. Period hooks up with The Roots and John Legend to remix their recent album Wake Up! in honor of it being nominated for a Grammy. We just got done listening to this tape and its pretty bad ass. The Roots alone are sick but the album also features some old school emcees that have been killing it for years.

So we saw this album on DJ Booth's site and even though we were not all that familiar with OverDoz we checked it out anyways and saw that this album features some legit west coast emcees like Kendrick Lamar and Dom Kennedy.
