Can you believe this was the original on-field fitted for the expansion Arizona Diamondbacks? They probably have the most colors to choose from as far as actual on-field game hats go. The Diamondbacks have worn it all from a teal and purple combo to a red and black color scheme. This hat is legit though. How many of these hats do you think the Neptunes and CRS own collectively? You know Kanye rocked this hat a few times back in the day when he was a little known producer for Jay-Z and his go to was bright colored polos and a fitted or a snapback. Kanye has come a long way. I'm pretty sure he was wearing a red leather zip up vest at halftime of the NBA All-Star Game. Anyways, Kanye is a trendsetter and if you fancy yourself the same and you're a Diamondbacks fan, we know you have this Fitted hanging around. Odds are you probably have the teal and purple Air Max Lebron VII's to match. You look good. And young Kanye is impressed.
The Seattle Mariners had the second worst record in all of baseball last year, so they come in at # 29 on our list. This was a tough call. Personally I am a huge fan of the all aqua/ teal hats that the old school mariners rocked in the early to mid 90's. But the more I thought about it, I was just a fan of the teams and players that wore those hats. First of all, Griffey came into his prime in those hats. Then you add Randy Johnson, Jay Buhner, Dan Wilson, and a young A-Rod (pre-douchebaggery), and you have quite the solid squad rocking some serious aqua and teal hats. Then I came across these bad boys. These hats are fresh. Part of me feels like these hats are overdue, like the M's need to go back to these hats stat. They tried spending millions of dollars in off-season acquisitions. What did it get them? A record of 61-101, good for 29th in all of Major League Baseball and more importantly 29th on our list. So why not switch to these hats? If you look good you feel good, and if you feel good you play good, right? It's always raining in Seattle and that makes everyone sad. They can't afford to have one of the worst records in baseball for the sake of the people in Seattle. I'm not sure if you've heard but the suicide rate up there can get pretty high at times. Why doesn't the Mariners front office care about the people of Seattle? Just make the hat/uni change and everyone will be happy and alive. That's what matters. Do it for the people.
The Pittsburgh Pirates kick off The Booth Must Have Fitted Collection. We will go by last years standings from worst to first in Major League Baseball. It would be tough for anyone to convince a Pirates fan that they must have a Pirates hat. Its unfortunate that the Pirates are so bad because you have got to love their color combos. The Pirates must have hat has to be this Cooperstown Collection Black and Yellow 2-Tone Fitted. You know Wiz Khalifa owns this hat for sure. But believe it or not this was not an easy winner. The Bucs have some legit fitteds. So legit in fact we are going to include the runner-up and the third place winner. If you're a true Pirates fan you probably need a friend, and you probably booze a lot, but most importantly you should own all three of these hats. Besides you know what they say, if you can't win, at the very least look good losing.  |
