The Booth Artist of the Week

Week of April 4th
Aleon Craft
Birthplace: Decatur, GA

Aleon Craft has been involved with music for much of his life and like a lot of other emcees in the game he has paid his dues and fought the industry to try and get where he is today. Craft started DJing as a child at local Decatur spots which was good for him because it taught him to appreciate all genres of music. He first started rapping in 1998 under the name Big Marc, at this time he teamed up with his cousin ShoNuff and they formed the duo named Da BuckWudz. With the unique sound Da BuckWudz was putting out they finally caught a break signing with Dallas Austin's Rowdy Records in 2005. At this point the duo thought they were going to blow the doors off the game and they were starting to generate some chatter with their first album Wood Work, where they worked with Nas, Bun B, Killer Mike, Sleepy Brown and Slim Thug. Sadly it didn't work out for them and that was the end of Da BuckWudz and no one really knew why. This is when Big Marc went solo became Aleon Craft along with creating his own genre Solar-Hop. As Aleon Craft he’s been killing it, unfortunately he's still not getting the recognition he deserves. Craft has since joined forces with SMKA and has put out a few dope mixtapes along with working on his newest project Mothership Decatur which drops this month. Now a day’s Aleon Craft claims “I just want to make a living making songs. Whatever doors open up from me doing music, I’ll most definitely walk through them proudly”, and why not right. Check out his website/blog Here, Twitter Here or his FaceBook Here. Below you download all his mixtapes and you can check out the three singles from his upcoming Mothership Decatur tape.

New Music: Beastie Boys, Mac Miller, Chiddy Bang & Nipsey Hu$$le

Beastie Boys - "Make Some Noise"
I know we say this a lot but we've been looking forward for this album for a long ass time. I think we are all thankful for MCA's will in beating cancer so the Beastie's can back to making albums again and hopefully stop making instrumental albums. Hot Sauce Committee Part Two is set to drop May 3rd so enjoy their first single since like 2009.

Chiddy Bang Ft. Mac Miller - "Heatwave"
Did The Booth do it again or what? We have a good history of featuring an emcee, or in this case a duo, as our Artist of the Week then within days they put out a new track. We got ourselves a banger here too, Chiddy Bang grabs a Booth favorite in Mac Miller for this track.

Nipsey Hu$$le - "Rose Clique"
So Nipsey dropped this track because he reached 107,000 followers on Twitter. He now says every time he gets 2,000 more he'll drop another one and another and so on. Sounds like a great idea to us so if your not a Nip follower yet, check him out right Here.

Meek Mill Ft. Rick Ross - "Tupac Back"
We were just saying the other day why we like Rick Ross because he puts out so much new music all the time. Then today he comes out claiming this week as Maybach Music Week and plans on dropping a new track every day. Here's yesterday's and today's tracks for ya both off MMG's Self Made vol. 1 tape which drops next month.

Lil Wayne Ft. Gudda Gudda - "That's Why They Call"
Not quite sure if this is new or just unreleased but either way it's new Weezy you haven't heard yet. I feel like its been a while since these two were on a track together but its still worth a shot.

Smoothe Da Dustler Ft. Kool G. Rap - "It's A Wrap Remix"
There's been a lot of old school emcees putting out new music lately and you know that fires us up here at The Booth. Smoothe and Kool on a track together, is it the early 90's again? The tracks dope and with all the "friendly" hip hop floating around it's nice to hear some hardcore hip hop every once in a while.

The Booth Fitted of the Week

Week of April 4th
Oakland A's White w/ Green Brim

Man this hat is so fresh. So Clean. Is there any uniform in all of sport that looks as fresh as the Oakland Athletics home whites? White hat, white uni, white pants, white cleats! I have to admit the cleats seal the deal but this hat starts the party. All the A's are missing with those unis are the white helmets at the dish. How many wins do you think those uniforms get the A's in a year? 15? 20? Half of their home wins?! You look good, you feel good, you play good. No one feels better than the A's in their fresh, clean whites. Maybe Billy Bean doesn't know shit and the Whites have done it all. Is Moneyball the movie going to be about the White Unis? I think it has to be.

New Music: Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Nas, Mobb Deep, Keith Murray & Jon Connor

Rick Ross Ft. Lil Wayne - "9 Piece Remix"
These two together on a track will never let you down. This time they team up for a second remix on Boss's "9 Piece". We'll never get used to how much music these two put out almost daily. However we only got the radio ripped version, still bangs though.

Mobb Deep Ft. Nas - "Dog Shit"
I got like serious deja vu when I saw this track a little while ago. I just keep on hearing someone saying Queensbridge in my head. With Prodigy, Havoc and Nas together it makes me feel like I'm back in elementary school again.

The Undergods (Keith Murray & Canibus) - "Undergods Roll"
How about back to back tracks that will bring you back in the day. How about Undergods in general? It's been a few years since Keith Murray and Canibus put out their last EP, but here is their first single off their upcoming Erick Sermon produced album.
