Top 10 Mixtapes From 2010

This Years Top 10 From The Booth

1. B.o.B - No Genre: We said when this tape came out it sounded like an album, B.o.B kills it on every track so here it is coming in at number 1 on The Booth Reviews top 10.

2. Asher Roth - Seared Foie Gras with Quince & Cranberry: Some pretty big fans of Asher over here at The Booth, if your not a fan yet check this tape out. This is a definite must have for any serious hip hop fan.

3. T.I. - F*ck A Mix Tape: This was basically the first music T.I. put out after being released from prison. It's too bad he'll be heading back to prison for another year but he did get this mix tape out and his album "No Mercy" showcases T.I at his finest.

4. J. Cole - Friday Night Lights: J. Cole's 3rd banging mix tape he has put out to this point. Jay-Z did it right here signing J. Cole to Roc Nation and when he finally puts out an album, expect great things.

5. Wale - More About Nothing: Love Wale, love Seinfeld, love this mix tape. In Wale's follow up mix tape to 2008's "Mix Tape About Nothing" he brings the Seinfeld theme back and again throws together a great tape.

6. Wiz Khalifa - Kush & Orange Juice: Wiz just had an altogether great 2010. So no reason why this tape wouldn't make our top 10. Wiz just does it every time he lays down a verse. Check this out if you haven't heard it yet.

 7. The Lox: Three Brothers: With all the new school hip hop artists out there killing it right now its easy to over look this tape. Jada, Styles and Sheek are still getting it done. The Booth will never forget the hip hop we grew up on.

8. Royce Da 5'9'' - The Bar Exam 3: The Most Interesting Man: Since Bad Meets Evil all the way to Slaughterhouse, Royce has been one of the most underrated, yet best lyricists in the game. This tape is Royce at his finest and one of our favorites here at The Booth.

9. Big Sean - Finally Famous Vol. 3: B.I.G:  This is Big Sean's Third mix tape from the Finally Famous collection. I love this guys style and he never really lets you down with any of his music.

10. Emilio Rojas - Life Without Shame: Rounding out our this years Top 10 is Emilio Rojas. This kids got some serious talent and if you haven't heard of him yet, get this mix tape. You wont be sorry.

No way we could stop at 10 so here's some tapes that just missed the cut.

Honorable Mention

Dead Prez - Revolutionary But Gangsta Grillz: Yes, these guys are still around. Don't underestimate them and get this tape.

Das Racist - Sit Down, Man: Got a little interesting here but these guys are legit and extremely talented. If you're a real hip hop fan give these guys a shot.

Wu-Tang Clan - Enter The Magical Mystery Chambers: Wu-Tang lyrics over Beatles songs. Its not new Wu-Tang but if you liked Jay-Z's "Grey Album" give this tape a listen.

Redman - Pancake & Syrup: We mentioned this mix tape a few days ago on The Booth but here it is again. Reggie's Back so go check this out.

Jon Connor - Season One: Jon Connor As Vinnie Chase: Here's a solid tape from a new up and comer. If you don't have any music by Jon Connor start right here with this tape.

There were a lot of great mix tapes from 2010 and there are a lot more we could have added to the Top 10. Either way, all these mix tapes are free online and are a must have for your hip hop collection.
